To All the Books I've Hated Before

Hey, It's Sarah B. with a final post shedding light on some the books I despised/couldn't finish but didn't post about.

Uni High Yearbook - The writing in this one is pretty good, but they always manage to take the WORST most HIDEOUS photos of me.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before - This isn't the worst book I've ever read, but honestly I feel like if the main character weren't so stupid this book wouldn't even have had to be written. Who the heck writes (embarrassing) letters to all their crushes WITH the correct addresses and just leaves them around. NO. THAT'S SOMETHING YOU JUST DON'T DO.

Inheritance Games - No. This book is just way too unrealistic because what financially struggling person tries to DECLINE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SHE JUST INHERITED? Like GIRL. I would be screaming for joy, but she tried to DECLINE IT. Get out.

Reckless - (Emily don't kill me) This is the sequel to the popular novel Powerless, and it SUCKS. 90 percent of the book is irritating "banter" while the two main characters trudge across the desert. There's also the worst ending to a book I have ever read, an ending which makes absolutely no sense and was clearly made just to extend the series and give more money to the author. NO. PLEASE WRITE GOOD BOOKS.

The Summer I Turned Pretty - The main character pissed me off so much. If you already like one of them, you don't need to go after the other brother! She tore the whole family apart and still managed to act like the victim. I could not stand this book/book series. And then they made this horrible book series a show? Actually stop.

Well, that's a wrap! Thanks for tuning into my last blog post of the year!

  1. Hi Sarah, I cannot express how much this post made me laugh. I agreed with almost all of these takes. I find it interesting how all of these books could have genuinely been good and had an interesting premise but they had to have a really dumb main character. Great Job!
